Job Description
Title: Program Coordinator [NIHONGO Partners Team]
Contract: Contractual until March 31, 2025, with possible renewal subject to mutual agreement of both parties.
JFM is recruiting one program coordinator for the field of Japanese language education. The Program Coordinator will be assigned to the NIHONGO Partners (NP) Team and will be tasked to design, monitor, and handle the logistics of the NIHONGO Partners Program and provide overall support to the team. *
*The NIHONGO Partners are people that the Japan Foundation sends from Japan for a certain period to work as partners of Japanese language teachers and students at selected educational institutions in Asia. These partners work as assistants in classes and introduce Japanese culture. They do not simply teach but also learn about the host country’s local language, culture, and customs.
The Program Coordinator is expected to:
1. Manage the coordination for the NIHONGO Partners Program, including all logistical procedures, such as:
o Coordinating accommodation arrangements for NIHONGO Partners;
o Supporting training sessions for NIHONGO Partners;
o Designing, distributing, and collecting questionnaires, and
o Providing general support and responding inquiries related to the NIHONGO Partners Program.
2. Promote Nihongo learning materials developed by the Japan Foundation and events organized or supported by the Japan Foundation, Manila.
o Facilitating the promotion of Japanese Language Education resources, including information about the JF Standard.
3. Assist in other tasks incidental to the operations of the NIHONGO Partners Program.
4. Support the implementation of Japanese Language Education programs under the Course on Japan for High School Classroom Instructions (CJH) Team, including:
o Preparing for Teacher Training for CJH;
o Organizing the Japanese Speakers’ Forum, and
o Managing other tasks related to CJH events and programs.

Salary and Benefits:
• The salary will be decided based on the qualifications of a successful candidate.
• The basic benefits will be provided as determined by the Labor Code of the Philippines.
Remarks:
• JFM currently operates in a hybrid work arrangement (commuting to the office three days and working from home twice a week). This arrangement may change depending on the office protocols.
• The Program Coordinator may be asked to join overnight business trips outside Metro Manila and to work over the weekend during special events such as weekend training and seminars.
• The term of the initial contract will be until March 31, 2025. Based on mutual agreement, the contract can be extended on a yearly basis.
