[01/12~01/16/2026] IRODORI Workshop #4

The Japan Foundation, Manila extends its sincere appreciation to all participants and instructors who took part in the recently concluded IRODORI Workshop #4, conducted in partnership with the TESDA National Language Skills Center.

This intensive five-day training brought together 22 skilled individuals eager to deepen their understanding of Japanese language education through the IRODORI approach. Each day focused on one of the core language skills—Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing—giving participants first-hand experience of how these skills are introduced and developed in the classroom using IRODORI as the primary teaching material.

The workshop featured a balanced mix of demonstration lessons, lectures, practice teaching, and reflective activities, allowing participants to gain a deeper appreciation of learner-centered, Can-do–based instruction. Through collaborative lesson planning, mock teaching sessions, and peer feedback, participants strengthened both their instructional strategies and their confidence in applying them.

On the final day, participants reflected on how the IRODORI methodology compared with their current teaching practices and explored practical ways to integrate its strategies into their own educational contexts.
