Monthly IRODORI Workshops (Online)

IRODORI Marathon is workshop-style online course for Nihongo teachers in the Philippines exploring the facilitation style, resources, and different strategies that can be applied in specific IRODORI activities depending on the focus or theme.

In these study course sessions, participants 1) Experience a demo lesson of a specific IRODORI Activity through a demo lesson, 2) Discuss their observations with their fellow teachers, and 3) Deepen their understanding of the strategies and approaches applied in the demo lesson through mini lectures. The lecture part is where observations are organized and connected to the session theme key points.

Run with us at the Marathon to pick up practical strategies for specific IRODORI activities!

IRODORI Café, on the other hand, is a space for Nihongo teachers to share their challenges in their own IRODORI class and explore new strategies through dialogue with other participants.

In the café sessions, participants will 1) reflect on their own practice based on a specific theme/perspective, 2) recognize and focus on an encountered problem, 3) share their own experiences and exchange problem solving strategies, 4) get insights on other possible solutions from the session facilitators, and 5) critically consider whether the discussed solutions are applicable in their own class.

Just like in an actual café, teachers can relax and comfortably chat with their fellow participants while having their favorite drink!

Chat with us at the Café to unwind and exchange strategies with fellow teachers!
