Sensei no Wa (Online) – December 9, 2020 (Wednesday)

先生の輪は、日本語教師の交流の場です。もっと楽しく、もっとおもしろく一緒に日本語教育を勉強しましょう!
“Sensei no Wa” is open to both experienced and neophyte Japanese-language teachers, and offers a platform for information exchange with one’s peers. It is for the further encouragement of Japanese Language Education and aims to support professional enrichment and network expansion through interactive learning.

Theme: Report by grantees of the Japanese Teaching Methods Program for Teachers of Specified Skilled Worker Candidates

Report 1:  “An overview of the Teacher Training Program and the results thereof 1 year later”
                     Mr. Edmon Hernandez (Manila Kokusai Academy Inc.)

Report 2:  “The lesson which impressed me most in the Teacher Training Program”
                      Mr. Arnel Fabellar (Frontline Nihongo Studio)

Overview: Mr. Hernandez will present the effect on how students acquire Japanese language abilities using the Irodori: Japanese for Life in Japan Coursebook (A2). He will also share the students’ impressions on learning with the said Coursebook.
Mr. Fabellar, on the other hand,  will discuss the lesson that was fun-filled, most engaging, and highly relevant to workers’ everyday life and future work atmosphere in Japan.  He aims to explain the Competence in Accomplishing Tasks and the Competence in Intercultural Understanding  (cultural differences in the workplace).
