๐ฃ Calling All Japanese Studies Scholars of the AAS 2026 Annual Conference!
The Japan Foundation is pleased to offer Travel Support Grants for scholars involved in Japan-related research who will be attending the AAS 2026 Annual Conference in Vancouver, Canada.
๐๐น๐ถ๐ด๐ถ๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐:
- Scholars of Southeast Asian nationality or affiliated with a Japanese Studies institution in Southeast Asia
- Scholars holding a Masterโs degree or higher engaged in Japan-related research
- Scholars who are committed to attending the full conference period (March 12-15, 2026)
- Scholars who are confirmed conference participants (speakers and attendees)
- Scholars who are able to communicate in English

- Conference registration fee
- Roundtrip airfare (discount economy)
- Accommodation for 5 nights
