32nd Philippine Nihongo Teachers’ Forum

With the theme “Adding Value to Teacher’s Growth and Student’s Development through Action Research”, The Association of Filipino Nihongo Teachers (AFINITE) in cooperation with The Japan Foundation, Manila and De La Salle University Manila, International Studies Department recently held the 32nd Philippine Nihongo Teachers’ Forum last November 7 and 14, 2020 via Zoom.

On Day 1 of the forum, keynote speaker Dr. Yeban introduced how to conduct Action Research in a simple manner. In the afternoon, Japanese language teachers from Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Peru and the Philippines gave their presentations concerning Action Research in Japanese language education. Most revolved on teaching and learning Japanese in the setting of the digital age.

On Day 2, participants  then joined workshops on their preferred topic which allowed them to explore the possibilities of conducting Action Research in their respective classes.
