The Japan Foundation Program Guidelines
Fiscal Year April 2009 - March 2010

The Japan Foundation offers various grants to individuals and organizations. These grants are intended for Japan-related projects in the fields of culture, arts and education.

The Program Guidelines for fiscal year April 2009 – March 2010 is now available at the Japan Foundation, Manila (JFM). Please note that only individuals can apply for the Japanese Studies Fellowship Program, Graduate Program on Japanese Language and Culture (M.A. / Ph.D. Courses) and the Japanese Language Program for Researchers / Postgraduate Students. The “Grant Program for Cultural Presentation Abroad” and the “Grant Program for Cultural Cooperation” are for individuals / organizations. Other programs are designed for institutions / organizations. The Japanese Studies Fellowship Program (social sciences and humanities) is highly competitive; it is open to preeminent scholars, experienced researchers and cultural specialists.

The Guidelines must be read carefully and should one wish to apply, he/she will have to request for the application form for a specific program from the Japan Foundation, Manila. Duly accomplished forms with complete supporting documents must be submitted not later than Friday, 28 November (JFM deadline). Successful applicants (individuals / organizations) will be announced by April 2009.
