The Japan Foundation, Manila's
Refresher Course on Teaching Techniques 2 (RC2)
July 8 – August 28, 2008

As part of our newly established Japanese language teacher training system started from September 2007, the Japan Foundation, Manila announces the opening of the Refresher Course on Teaching Technics 1, exclusively designed for Filipino Nihongo Teachers based in the Philippines.

The course, lasting 8 weeks (16 meetings / 32 hours), focuses on the following topics among the various needs of the Filipino Nihongo teacher.

1. Teaching of Reading Comprehension
2. Teaching of Conversation
3. Teaching of Listening Comprehension
4. Teaching of Composition
5. Making Drill, Quiz, Test
6. Introducing Teaching Materials update
7. Self Evaluation

The tuition is Php 3,000.00. Class will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:20 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Applicants must be active Nihongo teachers and who have a Nihongo ability of at least JLPT Level 3 equivalent or higher.

An interview will be conducted by appointment from July 1 to 3 at the Japan Foundation Manila office between 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 pm. Applicants who have sent in their duly accomplished reservation forms on or before June 27 are requested to contact JFM (c/o Ms. C. E. J. Aquino) as soon as possible to confirm their appointment for the said interview.
