Students, nowadays, are highly visual learners. Information is easily understood and retained when it is disseminated through audio-visual media. This form of material is highly prevalent and easily accessible to all. Yet, how can informal media be incorporated to the formal setting of the classroom? What parameters are needed and how can it enrich learning? In this talk, it will be discussed how bringing in Japanese shows can break the monotonous drag of Nihongo classroom learning.
